It must have been at a very young age when german born artist Cornelia Kraft first experienced the attraction which comes from seductive, dramatic or terrifying images being part of our world of second hand experience. Later on, when she was studying Fine Arts and Theatre Arts at the Academy of Fine Arts and Design in Stuttgart, Germany and at San Francisco State University, California, she began to investigate these issues in her artworks. Focusing on digital video, installation and collage, all kind of footage became a possible starting point for her works.  Since then Cornelia has shown her works in various spaces and has taken part in performances and theatre projects. Constantly seeking new inspiration she came to the city of Barcelona where she has been living up to now.
